Alicia is a Dancer of Dutch/Surinam descent. ‘The Shoes ‘I got from my mom as a Christmas Present and I love wearing them, they fit amazingly. About my tattoo, I used to be body shamed when I was younger, a lot. When I first started started my lessons in a professional balletschool I started to notice that I have muscular legs. I was very insecure about my thighs because they were big and muscular. Because of that I was body shamed at my elementary school. They said that I had male legs and it looked weird. Then one day in my ballet lesson I was extremely insecure to show my legs. My ballet teacher saw that and asked me what was wrong. I told her my story and she smiled at me saying: having muscular legs is an amazing thing to have. It shows you that your legs are strong and that you are working hard for it. You shouldn’t be insecure about it, but be extremely proud about it. You should always show them off your legs are simply PRETTY!’
